BELLINGHAM, WA, March 21, 2017 – Pete Coy, with RE/MAX Whatcom County, Inc., has recently been presented with the RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award, which honors highly successful agents who have earned more than $3 million in commissions and have completed seven years of service with the company. Less than 6 percent of the RE/MAX network has achieved this prestigious award.
Coy has been working in the real estate industry for more than 37 years as one of the top Realtors in Whatcom County. Pete moved to Bellingham as an undergraduate student at Western Washington University. He completed his undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Economics and went on to obtain an MBA and coursework for several other bachelor degrees.
Throughout his career, Pete has always been committed to giving back to the community that he loves. He deeply believes in contributing to non-profits when possible because he feels it truly takes all of us, working together, to keep a city livable and a place where its children can thrive and grow up to be good stewards of the planet.
“Pete has been an integral member of our team and is more than deserving of this very prestigious award,” said Lori Reece, Broker/Owner, of RE/MAX Whatcom County, Inc. “Winning this award is a tremendous accomplishment. Pete continues to raise the bar in real estate, making us, and this community, proud.”
Coy has worked with many non-profits over the years. The long list includes President and Chairman of the Board of Bellingham’s Chamber of Commerce, The Chair of the Bellingham International Airport Advisory Committee, Vice-President of the Team USAble Board of Directors, Director of the Bellingham-Whatcom Economic Development Council and many, many others. He has also been named as Bellingham Herald’s “Business Newsmaker of the Year”.
Six years ago, while continuing to work full-time as a Realtor, he took over as Director of the Ski to Sea. Growing it to be the largest multi-leg race in the country, with 4,000 participants and an estimated 50,000 spectators and helping to bring over $7 million into the community.
RE/MAX is the most productive real estate network with its Sales Associates averaging more sales than other real estate agents. Over 100,000 agents provide RE/MAX a global reach of nearly 100 countries. Nobody sells more real estate than RE/MAX.
