Christine Rasmussen

Originally from Canada, Christine has resided on and off in Whatcom County since 1997 and spent over 10 years as a business owner in the predominantly male industry of residential and commercial septic installations. She is proud to part of another company whose cultural focus of serving the community aligns with the very principals that made her own company successful through the challenges of the 2008 recession.

Prior to owning her own business, Christine primarily worked in management positions and technical writing for a company. Over the dozen years that Christine spent building her business, she had a great opportunity to team up as a vendor to brokers, lenders, HUD, and title companies, which inspired her to become a full-time broker. Christine feels most rewarded by walking first-time buyers down the path of home ownership. She has been an active board member of a condo association for six years and running and is currently the board President. Most recently, she had the privilege of working with the great team at Family Care Network to establish their James Street location for a drive-through COVID-19 vaccination site.

Christine feels fortunate to have been a full-time mom for many years, during which time she volunteered in the school's mentoring and literacy programs, from Honolulu, to Florida, Wisconsin, Vancouver, BC, before heading back to Washington State. She is happy to be back and is looking forward to serving her client base in Whatcom, Skagit, and Snohomish Counties, with a primary focus on growing the presence of Weitzel & Associates in Point Roberts and beautiful North Whatcom County.
