Recreation - Sports
Located in downtown Bellingham, the Sportsplex offers a variety of venues and programs for athletes of all skill levels. This is the place to go for indoor soccer, ice hockey or ice skating, as well as special events.

- Indoor soccer
Youth and adult leagues play through the Sportsplex on men's, women's, and coed teams. Private instruction is also available for all ages, and private arena time can be scheduled for parties or personal games.
- Ice hockey
The Sportsplex has its own hockey league, and its facilities are also used by the Northwest Women's Ice Hockey Team as well as the Whatcom County Amateur Hockey Association. A Learn to Play program is offered for athletes just starting out, and hockey camps are available for both beginners and experienced players. Private rentals are available for hockey or skating parties and games.
- Ice skating
The Learn to Skate program teaches beginners age 3 to adult the basics of ice skating. For more advanced skaters, there is a Freestyle Program and competitive training. A Speed Skating program is also offered, as well as Public Skating Nights for community fun! The Sportsplex facilities are used by the Bellingham Figure Skating club, and annual skating camps and shows are also featured here.
Come support Western Washington University and watch exciting college sports all year round! Check out Viking Football during the September-November season, including the famous “Battle in Seattle” game between Western and their perennial rival, Central. Other exciting events include men's and women's basketball, cross country, crew, soccer, softball, volleyball, and track and field.
